Tell us about yourself/business?  Tell us about what keeps you and your family busy?

I reside in Manchester, MD with my husband, two sons, and 3 pups. We are a growing family with two more babies on the way! We are amateur backyard chicken owners and love to plant our overwhelming vegetable gardens every year. My husband is a career firefighter and I am a wedding and event planner. I’m starting my 12th wedding season and stay pretty busy April-December. I work mostly in the Central PA area but will travel wherever the party is! Every wedding is so unique, I love learning what my couples are passionate about and helping them bring their vision to life.

 

Tell us about your roots to Carroll County.  What brought you here?  How long have you lived in Carroll?

We have lived in Carroll County our whole lives (Hampstead specifically), with the exception of 4 short years we lived in Hanover, PA. We’ve raised our babies here and love it. Nothing compares to sitting in the sunshine, having lunch on our patio, and hearing the church bells in the distance. While I know we won’t live in our current home forever (because I love moving!), we will always stay in Carroll. Here’s to keeping Carroll the Carroll County we all know and love so much.

 

What keeps you here?  What is your favorite part about Carroll County?

We love going out and seeing people we know everywhere. There’s such a sense of peace and community when you can go anywhere and know you’ll definitely bump into a friend.

 

Who has had the strongest influence in your life?

My parents are my strongest influence. They focused all of their attention on raising me to work hard, be kind, and always stand up for what I believe in. They have always been encouraging along every journey life has taken me and I am so thankful to have that kind of love and support.

 

What are your current goals and ambitions? Either personal or professional.

First and foremost, I want to raise my kids to be good human beings. Sometimes I am uncertain about what kind of world I am raising my kids in. I try to keep it to the basics, taking care of what we have, working hard, being a good friend, and taking care of those around us. We’re about to complete our first year of homeschooling which I plan to continue. Professionally, I just want to keep booking amazing couples and coordinating beautiful weddings forever! Each year gets busier and busier and I love it.
